Francesc Pallarés. Professor of Political Science and Administration in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) de Barcelona. Doctor from the Universitat de Barcelona (1985).
He has taught in the Universitat de Lleida (1978-87), in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1987-94) and, currently, in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (1995-), in subjects like Political Sciences, Spanish Political System, Political Behaviour or Political Communication, among others.
He has bean Dean of the Estudis de Ciències Polítiques i Gestió Pública of the UPF (1997-2001) and Director of the Department of Political and Social Sciences in the UPF (2002-04). He occupied other positions of academic responsibility.
He is interested in electoral behaviour, political culture, political communication, political parties, especially with the connections among governments (local, regional, state and European). He is the author of a large number of publications in specialized magazines and academical books on state, autonomic and local elections. Regarding the Spanish and international areas, he takes part in different projects and research groups on these topics and he is member of different professional associations in the area of Political Sciences..
