Marcel Planellas i Aran (Mollet del Vallès, 1955). Professor of the area of Enterprise Policy of ESADE. He is Doctor in Economics and Business Sciences (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and he has a degree in Modern History (Universitat de Barcelona). He has been the president of the Senate and secretary general of ESADE. He is the main researcher of the Group of Research Entrepreneurship of ESADE – Universitat Ramon Llull. 

He has spoken in several conferences and has published articles in national and international magazines. He is member of the “Strategic Management Society” and of the “Academy of Management”. His last published books are Acción Social Estratégica (Ed. Lid) and De la idea a la empresa (Ed. Ariel). 

He has been technician of the Cambra de Comerç, Indústria i Navegació de Barcelona (1985-1986) and member of the Parlament de Catalunya in the first Parliament (1980-84), where he was secretary of the Bureau of Parliament and member of the commissions of Cultural Policy and of Justice, Law and Public Safety.
