Jordi Solé Tura Award

The Jordi Solé Tura Award to a doctoral thesis on democracy is one of the main activities of the Centre d'Estudis per la Democràcia. The Council of Mollet del Vallès first announced the award in November 2007. Its aim is to promote the research among young universitary researchers in the fields of public law and politics; especially in the study of democracy in local governments, in the different problems in the world, in the immigration challenges, in federalism and territorial organisation and in the academic contribution of Jordi Solé Tura to the democratic system.
The award is a cash prize that is approved by the Plenary for each convocation.
The Award, that was annual in the three previous editions, is now biennial; so it will be announced every two years.
As well, the winner will have to give two talks in the city to divulge the contents of the thesis. One of them is published in the facsimile Textos 1, Textos 2 i Textos 3.
